Hi people have been with PM now for over 2 years and i have saved a lot vs other providers. I was wonder if i can add my wifes tablet to my acct. Shes has a tablet than can take a sim card. We use to have it added when i was with Bell but i don't see any option in my account to add a tablet. Could someone help me with this question?

@geopublic wrote:@dnewf Public Mobile does not offer Tablet plans. The only data only plan offered is the 1GB LTE plan for $30 per 30 days. Very expensive and not worth it IMO. You are better off looking elsewhere for data only plans like maybe the dog brand or others.
Agree. PM bigger brother Koodo has a $15 1GB data plan with full LTE speed.

PM has a $30 1GB plan with full LTE speed which is not very competitive enough with other provider like Fido, Koodo or Virgin tablet plans. Even more expensive than PM bigger brother Koodo's $15 1GB tablet plan.
It will be nice for PM to offer 3G data only plan at $10 to $15 per 30 days.

250 MB on a tablet will last about an hour.

@dnewf Is it an iPad? Data would be best for you. If you shop around you can find good data only deals. In fact many people purchase phones that support dual SIMs use the first sim with a calling/texting plan and the second sim for data.

Thats what I paid with bell extra 10 bucks or something to share the same data what my phone plan had. Yep 30 bucks is too much and i will not be doing it. If i can find provider that will let me do it i say i will be switching my acct also from PM

I see i can add and extra gig on my add on for 15 bucks in my account! PM needs to change this for some sort of family plans. If other providers can do it so can they.

@dnewf hi that would be up to you but the 15 dollar plan has unlimited texting and 250 mb with auto pay😁

They have a $30.00 1G option. It would need a physical sim slot. You could also look at the Telus website and see what types of tablets they have on their plans. It would be universal to what PM could do.

o what plan would be the best. Just data or a regular phone plan. There is a option on the tablet to text.

@dnewf hi no you will need a separate account with a new email and a new sim but you can use the same cc if you wish

Unfortunately you cannot add another number/sim in the same account. Meaning you will have to register another account with different email to activate your new sim card.
