sony xperia xz1

originally thought this phone was compatible but being told no after i just activated it. phone works but no data. cant access apn because it says settings not available for user...help please

Set APN Protocol to iPv4/IPv6

your phone is a 4G, I go for 2G/3G/4G Auto so that it always tries to connect to the best signal available. hope it helps if have not found solution.

@msilmser  sorry again for another post.

See this Telus link..see if you can try this...remeber don't follow Telus settings on link..has to be Public Mobile settings.

Looking at link.

Name should be Public Mobile. (Not Telus 2)

APN should be ..   sp.mb.com (not sp.telus.com)

The rest seem like it may work even with the MNVO blank. 

Try it and let us know. We'll get it at some point 😆

@msilmser  one more thing after reading a thread on a Telus forum (Public Mobile is owned by Telus)

It says after settings are entered TO restart your phone for the settings to take affect.

not working yet. ive changed the settings but my apn enable/disable is blanked out.

@msilmser , if this is the phone, it will work.  All models have the appropriate bands.  Check and set the APN as already suggested and you should be good to go.

i dont have an mmsc proxy setting. i only have a mms proxy

Set up Internet - Sony Xperia Z1 Compact

1. Select Apps.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select More...
4. Select Mobile networks.
5. Select Access Point Names.
6. Select the Menu button.
7. Select Reset to default.
8. Select New APN.
