Will you contact my previous carrier to cancel my account? Also, I want my existing phone number. How does that work?

You can port your number while activating a new PM account. Or you could activate with a new PM phone number and then decide later to port your number over.
It is self service and you will need to provide the necessary information to get the port request started. Usually need your present carrier's account number, phone number and account holder name. Once you submit the information, keep your old carrier SIM card in the phone. Respond "yes" to the port request text. Usually within a few hours, the port request is completed.
