Ring back tone does not work
Hi, I’m having an issue with outgoing calls on my phone.
When I dial a number, the call connects, but I don’t hear any ring back tone — there’s just silence until the other person picks up.I’ve tested this on two different phones using the same network, and both now have the same issue. This tells me it’s likely a network or SIM provisioning issue.
I’ve already tried the following:
- Restarted both phones
- Disabled Wi-Fi Calling and Bluetooth
- Checked audio settings and volume
- Tried Safe Mode
- Reset network settings
Also the phone I was testing with does not have ring back tone either now!
Can you check whether there’s a problem with my account, network provisioning, or ring back tone settings? A network refresh or reprovision might help.

so, a ticket with PM will get the problem resolved?

Yesterday I replied to you but without realizing it I was on my wife's account. You asked if she was on Public or Telus because I said that a Telus guru solved the problem of no ring back tone. She (we) are with Public. Public uses Telus' network. I don't know if they are owned by Telus but their network gurus got on the case. Ultimately, they solved the problem. Apparently they have to deal with each individual problem. There does not appear to a mass solution. I managed to get it escalated. My wife in process as well. She had to initiate a trouble ticket as I did. Good luck.

Exact same here. Any resolution yet?

@JohnnyRocket been having the exact same issue. 3 family members facing the same issue. I guess it's still an open-ended problem on your side? Or, you happen to learn anything new on resolution?

Did you try Reset Network Settings? Or tried you sim on another phone?
And. If you have iOS, some said it is fixed after a ln iOS update. So, the issue could be OS related
