HI @hafizo23
So, you called the number and confirmed no one taken the number yet?
There is a high chance you can get it back if you can show support agent you were the owner of the number before. Of course, they would need you to activate the service first. But confirm with CS agent before doing so. Please submit a ticket with CS Agent here:

the carrier I had the sim card with was PUBLIC MOBILE and it seems that it was deactivated in September or October, so I don't think it was given out to a new client. also, i tried calling it and there is no ringer tone.

Your old number will be returned to the carrier you got the number from. So it is slim to none to get it back. Then it is held for 90 days before it is released to the public.

I belive the account was indeed closed. so my question is , can i get my old number back?

@hafizo23 please call 1.855.4PUBLIC from another phone, enter 1 for English and then your phone number, if the system says cannot find your account, then you account was closed due to non-payment over 90 days.

@hafizo23 Then your account is most likely gone . If that’s the case you would want to create a new account with different email then before
add and take advantage of the new activation only plan 40GB for $34 5G unlimited data

@hafizo23 No you don’t want to activate . Just sim card swap number you can usually do this yourself in your account profile page . However you can’t seem to log in . So use link I provided in first reply to have support do it for you . And you will keep same phone number and plan

@hafizo23 If you activated the new sim card you shouldn't have. You are supposed to go into your account and change the SIM card number on the account. Not sure what can be done but send a message to customer service at the link below. Let them know what happened:

i currently have no number though
shall i resume with the process of obtaining a new number ? then do the switch?

@hafizo23 if the account is not over 90 days without payment, the error you got was just because the new login system didn't migrated your account properly earlier. Easy fix for PM support, you just need to engage thrm by direct message
