receiving phone calls when outside home province

I assume that a subscriber with province wide calling plan who does not have an add-on for roaming will not receive any calls when travelling outside the home province.

is there a feature to receive text messages or other notifications (maybe email) for the missed phone calls?

is the voicemail going to take the calls?

That's correct. You won't be able to take any calls.  People can still leave you voice mail messages.

There was a discussion regarding your question in the forum before. See the link below.

To summarize, you need to call long distance to access your voicemail. There is no email service for voicemail either.

As stated above, it worths to purchase 200min or 400min add-on since the leftover minutes roll over to next billing cycle until the minutes are used up.

Hope it helps.

text and data will work across Canada.  most people will get a roaming Canada long distance package 400 minutes which never expires until used. that way you can receive calls.

Voicemail will work ie messages can be left, but not sure about retrieval of voicemail from your phone while out of province.

no missed call features that i know of.
