porting old phone number

Hello, I opened a new account and i need help getting my old number from bell canada, i already got a sms message from bell authorizing the transfer. I have the public mobile account working but I got a new phone number instead of my old number. any help would be appreciated

To port your BELL number to an active Public Mobile account the Moderators are going to need to help you with this.

To contact the Public Mobile Moderator_Team, there are two ways to reach them:

1 -  Click the bubble comment circle on the bottom right hand side of your screen, or use this link to: Get Help With SIMon the Public Mobile chatbot

OR

2 - Use this link to:

Private Message to Public Mobile Moderators (PM Customer Service Representatives)

 

OR

you can use the "Change Number" feature in your SELF SERVE account:

This part isn't true. If a customer requests the number port during the activation process, only the number that has been requested to be ported in is assigned to the Public Mobile account. There is no "new" phone number in those cases.

did you meant you just activated today and requested porting during the activation?    If you have replied YES to Bell's SMS , then you have done everything right.  You would like to insert your PM sim into the phone and check if porting completed.  If not, try reboot the device every 15 mins 

 

Also, you can confirm the follow up status with:

 

  • Porting Team at ****or help

 

Please note.. it is ok you get a new PM number at this moment.  Before the number is ported, you always get a new number .. your number will be changed to your own number after the port is completed.
