porting my friends phone number to public mobile

I received a message from public mobile yesterday, that  my friend was active with public mobile. They even gave her a referal code. She was welcomed to pubic mobile. Her phone is still not working. We have asked her other provider to transfer her number. What is taking so long? How long does it take?

@Brenda14 @Did she reply YES to the confirmation text from old provider . To port number to PM . She would have 90 mins to do this . Has she rebooted  the phone since activating SIM card in phone (PM sim )

@Brenda14 first , you have to ask your friend if the sim card shows connected to PM network and if she can make outgoing calls.  If she cannot even make outgoing calls, it is not a porting issue, instead it is a problem with sim card provisioning , easy fist for PM , but she need to engage support.  Please have her to open ticket with PM using direct message here:
