porting a Newfoundland number from Koodo to Public Mobile

HI,

I have a friend interested in coming to public mobile and they want to keep their Newfoundland number that is currently on Koodo in New Brunswick.  what is special to know to make this a positive experience for them.   

they tried to transfer in 2018 to eastlink with a bad experience and I hope the community has something to offer.

Not all phone numbers can be transferred to all carriers. The receiving carrier has to offer phone numbers for that same city.  Since your friend is with Koodo, this means that the number can be ported to Public Mobile just fine as both are both Telus-owned brands.
