port number for mobile phone HELP!!

My husband is in the hospital and I need my phone to contact the nurses and find out how he is doing and this morning at 9am I decided to transfer my number from chatr chat mobile to public mobile and was told it will take 2 hours now it's been over 13 Hours and nothing works yet. I activated a sim online with a talk text data plan. And transferred my chat mobile number to public mobile and it has not been completed now the chatr account has been ported and on my account with public mobile it shows my info and the number ported. When i go to settings and sim info under that section on sim info my phone number etc it says not available i really need my phone to work to check on my husband's progress. Please help

You will need  to contact the moderators and unfortunately they are away for the night.  Open the spoiler tab and it will show you how to contact them.  As for right now your chatr sim may still be active with your number so I would put that back in your phone and see if it is working and use it until this port gets straightened out.

I am very sorry about your situation. There could be an issue with your port, and if there was an issue with your port you will want to contact the moderator team a soon as possible for them to remedy the situation.

For a possible solution now have you tried to do a power cycle on your phone? More often than not porting takes time and the issues are usually solved by pulling out your battery and putting it back in / restarting phone / removing sim and putting it back in.

 

  If you are able to use wifi download an app called FONGO so you can get a temporary free number to make calls, there are many free voice / text apps you can get for emergency if you have wifi
