I buy all my phones from Openbox.ca online and they have stores in BC or Alta. I head over to the Surrey, BC store and inspect the phones before I buy it. Most phones come with the factory warranty and an Openbox warranty.
They sell new, open box and refurbished iPhones and Samsung phones at a reasonable price.
If you are looking for a good budget phone. Costco have Moto (Motorola) phones at a good price and they normally go on sale. Costco also sell iPhones and Samsung but you have to pay for the phone upright. If you are looking at a monthly instalments…order directly from Apple, Samsung or Google.
Beware of buying from FB Marketplace if you don’t know what to look for.

Check if there’s a Mobile Klinik in your area as they do offer Certified PreOwned cells that have been cleaned, repaired and tested to be working as new. They have warranty too. If you’re considering iPhone purchase.. make sure to get iPhone 8 and newer. Those will work with VoLTE with Public Mobile.

Hello @Sherry61
Public Mobile no longer sells handsets. If you want a handset, you can look at places like Bestbuy, Visions, Costco and Amazon. Depending on what you're looking for, there are a lot of unlocked phones you can buy that suite your needs. Use @Sansan link to confirm the phone will work with PM. However, it would be somewhat hard since you're unable to get the IMEI number before you buy it. Hence the reason Public Mobile needs to return to a list of phone. That IMEI checker only helps IF you have the phone already in your hand.

@Sherry61 no they do not. Only Koodo and Telus.
Check Amazon or Bestbuy buy make sure the phone is no more than 5 years and North American brand for best compatability.
Phones now will be required to have VoLTE, but especially must be on Public Mobile's whitelist. Only way to check is after the phone is already purchased and can check the IMEI in the link below. You can scroll through and read.
