Based on @Dunkman's work on finding the frequencies:
Do NOT buy this for use in Canada.
With only one matching 3G frequency not even voice might work properly. And even if Public Mobile had VoLTE (it doesn't, you NEED 3G bands 2 (1900) AND 5 (850) ) the only matching LTE band 7 is not available everywhere.

These are PM's frequencies. The 3G frequencies must be avialable for calling, but will also deliver text & data.
Network Frequencies at PM
4G LTE/LTE Advanced: 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 1900 MHz; 2100 MHz downlink with 1700 MHz uplink (AWS).
HSPA (3G): 850 MHz, 1900 MHz (UMTS).
Public Mobile has partnered with willmyphone work as the new compatibility checker. If you can’t find your make and/ or model here: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-started, provide feedback directly https://willmyphonework.net/Home/ContactUs.

Here are the specs on this phone:

Public Mobile uses the following frequency bands:
It is missing some important bands, like 850 MHz for 3G Network, and only has 2100 MHz for 4G Network.
Might work, but not very well.
