no network service

Network service to Public Mobile is suddenly very spotty from my home (rural BC). Have been using it for years. Not sure if the phone would still work from closer to town as I haven't tried yet. Did Telus make recent changes to the network? My phone (Acer Z410) is older, but supports 4G/LTE. When I run compatibility test for VoLTE it comes up as not compatible. What does it mean?

@APascoe

Did you get a text from Public mobile warning about network changes in your area?  As mentioned in previous post, Telus has been changing their network.  So, it is important to have a VoLTE compatible phone for voice services.

You can also check the near cell tower to your location

Making and receiving calls will be interrupted and eventually doesn't work at all because even though it has LTE,  it's not on Public Mobile's list of approved phones.

Eventually,  you will probably need to upgrade.

You can try resetting networks but that might only work temporarily.
