HI @Iceman66

happy to help

yes, the previous sim does not need to be removed, but some automatic phone setting will have it took over as Primary, like your case, and it will make troubleshoot a bit harder.

And unless you still using the old sim for dual sim setup, there is no need to keep the old one if it is not working anymore

thanks for the reply. I figured it out. The sim card didn't need to be removed. everything changed from my previous and just said primary or business. it was set to primary as i assumed that was correct. When you leave the sim card in from previous provider you need to change it to business as that is your new carrier. Everything seems to work for the time being. thanks again for your prompt reply

hi @Iceman66

make sure you  removed the old carrier sim card,  or if it the old carrier sim is esim, disable it from Sim Manager or Settings->Cellular

Then put the PM sim card in the phone, or if eSIM, you should be good

Next,  go to Sim Manager or Settings->Cellular and check if PM sim is showing there.  Make sure the Public Mobile sim is enabled , or Turn on this line  option is toggled on.  Also, change the label to Primary

Reboot your phone and Reset network settings and test and confirm if all work or let us know of if any the following does not work: inbound and outbound calls, inbound and outbound text, mobile data.

if the sim not connecting, ask PM support agent to help.  You can submit  ticket by direct message:
