i just signed up for public mobile, i went through all the steps and when i got to the part about changing my phone number i followed the instructions as stated on online and did just that, now im trying to finish my set up and its trying to send a verification code to this "new" number that is registered but i do not have access to it, how do i change this number back to the one that is currently in use so i can finish this set up.?

can you receive inbound calls and text on the new number?
you will need to check with PM support if you cannot receive the 2FA code on the new number
