hi @crocodile

pretty sure it is a system glitch as I said, no plan is that expensive

have you opened ticket with PM support yet?  They replied yet?

and check Plan Details, is it still showing you have a $120 90 days plan?

Good Morning hTideGnow and community,

Hopefully this screenshot would help in identifying where the potential problem is:

Notes:

  • I have not made any changes to my existing plan
  • The previous invoice does not indicate the application of any rebates
  • Between invoices (previous to current expected) the plan pricing appears to have increased by more than 100%.
  • I believe this is in error and likely to self correct when the actual invoice is created but if not, can PM help in correcting the issue?

Hi @Techfish like yourself, I won't know until OP comes back and confirm when was the last time he/she saw the old price.

and if you look at the number, $246 plus tax for 3 months is $82/month.  We both know that it won't be that much.  No plan in PM cost $82/month

@crocodile , if that is indeed $246 for 90 days or $82 for a month, I can assure you there is no such price increase and you won't be paying that much.  So, you can ask PM support agent to confirm what was wrong.  But you should use Incognito/private/secret mode on your browser to login My Account again to confirm once again with the upcoming bill

if same, ask PM support to check and correct it.   Submit a ticket with CS Agent using Chatbot here:
            https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html
Type the question "Submit ticket", Then click the following in order: "Contact Us" ,  "Other",  "Log In".
If any issue with ticket submission, you can submit  ticket by direct message:

If crocodile was on the previous system, would it have been effective earlier? I assume from the post that it just changed for April.

hi @crocodile

you haven't check your bill for long time?  Public Mobile has removed the Legacy rewards on May 2024 (10 months ago).   Everyone moved to Public Points, they pay full price first and early 5% points after. (So, they didn't increase price, you just pay more first and get the savings after.  And you need to login Rewards portal to redeem 15 points for $15 bill credit yourself whenever you have enough points)

this was the official announcement they posted back in March 2024

That's unusual if you didn't change your plan. I would recommend contacting a support agent by a ticket or private message (to CS_Agent) and they could look into it tomorrow.

I have been paying $135.50 every 3 months . I just happened to check my account (because i had to update my credit card info) and saw that my next payment is due in april and I have to pay $246 plus tax. I am alarmed by this increase when I didn't make any changes to my plan. This is what i need help to understand.

The price of your plan won't increase. Would you please clarify?

@crocodile

PM never increase plan prices but PM switched from the Legacy Rewards to the Points Rewards last year. So no more $2 credit for AutoPay and no more $1/month/referrals. You will receive 5% of your month bill in points and once you have 15 points…you can redeem for a $15 credit.

hi @crocodile

what you meant by has increased?

your plan price won't increase, it always stay the same

if you meant available plans to change, the price actually down a bit lately or at least similar price with more data
