hi @CoolBill
yes, many lost the phone and keeping the phone number on the new phone
buy a new sim card from Telus or Koodo or Mobile Klink store, or Amazon. then login My Account and update the sim card number on Profile page *If unable to receive 2FA SMS, click "Didn't Receive Code" or "Resend Code" and Select "Send Email"
If still unable to get the code, then ask PM agent to help, you can submit ticket by direct message:

Hello @CoolBill
Of course. All you have to do is purchase a new SIM card, log into your account, change the SIM card to the new one, place it in your new phone, reboot and you should be good to go. Easy as that.
You should however, as a precaution, log into your account now and press LOST/STOLEN to put your account on hold.
To get a new SIM card the fastest routes are these.
https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/pick-up-SIM - Find a local store in your area.
Or find a Mobile Klinik near you. https://mobileklinik.ca/stores/

yes, you just need to get a new physical sim card , then login My Account using the same email and update the sim card number
or if you are going with eSIM on your replacement phone, just download PM app, login using the same email address and buy a new eSIM from Account > Purchase sim card page.
if you have trouble logging in because of the 2FA text sending to your lost phone, you can ask PM to assist for the login. Please open ticket with PM support
