Hi,
I bought an iPhone a few years ago directly from Apple. I gave it to my father when I changed my model. He got his SIM card cutted and inserted it in the iPhone. After a few days, his iPhone got BlackListed. I contacted my carrier to ensure it wasn't them and they confirmed.
How am I supposed to get the iPhone unblacklisted by Public Mobile if there isn't any client service that I can call?

I figured as much, just that OP seemed certain it had been blacklisted.
@MrA- try a new PM sim if you can get your hands on it, or try a known-working one from a friend. 🙂

@koimr1 I'm pretty sure when a phone is blacklisted it can just no longer register on any cellular network. Best way to check is to go to https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/ and put in the IMEI to see if it's on there.

Having never owned an iPhone how do you know when your phone has been blacklisted? Is there an on-screen message?
Seems odd as you bought this direct from Apple, I've only ever heard of phones being blacklisted if you've bought from a carrier and your account was closed due to something like not paying your bill for several months or you reported it stolen.
Is it possible cutting your SIM might've messed it up? An incorrect cut might work for a bit but if it's not exact then a bump could jar it just out of position enough to make things no longer work or (worse) intermittently work.
I do know there's sites that claim to tell you if your device is actually blacklisted and some that claim they will un-blacklist too but I've never used any of those (never had a phone blacklisted), I only add that for information but I'd be leery of any third-party site where you submit your IMEI.
Can you contact Apple?
Please update this thread as I (and probably others) would find the resolution interesting. 🙂 Good luck!

Talk to the mods, but I think it's highly unlikely that pm blacklisted it (they didn't sell it after all). The way to check is to insert a sim from another company and see if it works. My guess is that cutting your dad's old sim card is the actual problem here.
