Hello,
I'm looking to see how I can go about getting my phone unlocked. The phone was originally purchased through Koodo but ported over to PM around 1 year ago. I'm currently in Australia (thought my phone was already unlocked) for a few months and don't know what the best method of getting an unlock would be. I've read that I can request an unlock via the moderators but can't for the life of me figure out how to go about messaging them.
Thanks!

Hey @djsherwin,
You can send a private message to the @CS_Agent by clicking here: https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
Provide the IMEI number of your iphone, which can easily be found by dialing *#06# from your phone. PM unlocks Telus and Koodo locked phones and it costs $50 as mentioned above. The process is pretty quick as I had an iPhone 6s unlocked a year ago.

there was a similar question the other day. Mods should be able to unlock it, as @ShawnC13 mentioned. you might want to confirm with mods before putting money in the account.

@djsherwin, I believeif you put $50 (unlocking fee) in your account and have it in available funds then contact the MODS via private message they should be able assist you.

It might be pretty difficult given your situation. Koodo might not help since you're no longer their customer technically. Third party unlockers might help but they're generally pretty pricey when it comes to iPhones. The CRTC banned unlocking fees but it doesn't go into effect until December 1st. After that, you might be able to get it unlocked for free. Until then, especially since you're currently in another country, you might be out of luck
