how to check my phone number province?

hi how to check my phone number province. i would like to activate unlimited province wide talk 20$ plan. at around 20 days ago i changed my number to quebec number and i ported my old number again to it a week ago. now if i activate 20$ plan, will it come under quebec plan?

@kris8646, although you can pick any province for your phone number, why wouldn’t you pick one from whatever province you work or live in?  If you have an out of province number to those local to you, they may have problems calling you, especially if they do not want to pay long distance charges.

If you’re trying to attempt to have a number for calling people in a different province from where you’re located, this will not save you from calling long distance.

Other than having a local to the province phone number making it less expensive for those who call you, your plan will charged taxes based on the province the area code is located.

It doesn't matter what province you are located in you can call any number in that Province without a long distance add on (some numbers may need a 1 in front of them).  Was your old number a Quebec number?  If your ported in number is not a Quebec number you will still be able to call any number in Quebec  when you are physically located in Quebec but people calling you maybe required to call using long distance.

I said the plans are Canada wide.  Same plan can be purchased from any province.

@kris8646, the plans are Canada wide.  There's no region.  You can choose any number from any province.
