future dated account renewal and letting plan be expired while away

I have the fall promo plan future dated to start january 20

I have auto renewal set in place.

I will be out of the country  from jan 9 - feb 9.

Ideally i would like to

1) remove auto pay and let plan expire

2) pay for service on Feb 8 and have promo plan.

I am just unsure on how things will work and if I will loose promo plan if I don't let it auto renew on the 20th of Jan.

So the questions are 

if account is suspended/expired and i put $120 in as a one time payment, will it then activate the promo plan automatically?

• if account is suspended/expired  will I have to select a non promo plan to activate? and then message a mod to give me the plan?
• if account is suspended/expired  do i put in $120 and then ask mod to activate the promo plan?
• do i have to bite the bullet and let auto renew do its thing and pay for those 20 days?

any thoughts on what to do would be great.

If you disable autopay, your plan will not change to fall promo due to payment error.

If you load $120 before renewal, I am not sure whether you have to manually renew or it auto renews without having AutoPay enabled. Either way, you will have to pay for those 20 days in order to not lose the promo. So, you should leave it on AutoPay and just make sure it did go through while you're out of the country.

I am not sure if mods will allow you to stay on suspended status and honor the fall promo when you get back, but you can try messaging them and see if they can.
