Can I get an eSim to try out a plan for say 1 month before I port my number. I am unable to port my number right away.
Thanks.

Hello @PinDrop
This has always been my suggestion. To try the service first for 30-60 days before porting over from another company. It's best to try the phone in the top areas you visit like home, work, play, friends and so forth.
An important factor about joining PM you have to know that they don't tell you is there is a very limited VoLTE approved phone list with PM. If your phone is a 3G phone, you may need to upgrade. Most popular phones like Samsung or iPhone work well here. If you click on the link below, you can confirm if your phone will work with PM.
To confirm if your phone will work with Public Mobile, please see this link. At the bottom of the page, you can insert your IMEI number and the system will advise you if it will work with Public Mobile.

This is a HUGE factor if you plan on getting a Canada US plan is if you don't have the right phone, it may not work in the US.
And finally, get a temp number to start with. Get the cheapest plan possible. PM doesn't allow customers to downgrade their service even though it's a prepaid service, not postpaid. With Black Friday just around the corner, if you end up liking PM service, you may wish to just trash the plan you got and phone number and start fresh if Black Friday offers a much better plan. Just food for thought.

hi @PinDrop
yes, you can try the service first before porting in
when you subscribe, just select a new phone number instead of Transfer
when you are ready, you can login My Account, go to Profile, and click Transfer phone number to request porting
