trying to set up a new Samsung S25 phone, I can’t get past the connect to a mobile network screen to set it up, it wants to scan a QD eSIM card.
So I went on the old Google Pixel 8A phone that is set up and working with my PM account.
I purchased an ESIM card but I didn’t get an email and it wouldn’t let me purchase another eSIM card until I used the one that was just purchased.
Following the only prompts that seemed to do anything installed the new eSIM into the Google Pixel 8A phone and now it doesn’t work.
how do I:
1) get my Google Pixel 8A to work again?, and
2) how do I get a scannable QD code for the new Samsung S25 phone so I can proceed with set up?
Thank you.

no, you cannot bypass. any bypass will not work. after you put the siim later, the phone will wipe
don't try that

You can only have 1 eSIM with 1 account for each phone so you can’t have the same number and account on both phones.
To bypass the eSIM requirement. You can click on “Set up Later in Settings” and connect to home wifi.
Once you are connected, go through the prompts then download the PM app. If you want to transfer eSIM from Pixel phone to Samsung phone. Login to your account and purchase a new eSIM.
If you want to keep the old account on the Pixel phone then purchase a new plan with a new number.

Turns out my phone does use a SIM card so I’m doing the smart switch now.
Not out of the woods but progressing.
Thanks

this is a Samsung new phone policy.
if you cannot find a sim card from friend, you can get a physical PM sim card yourself in person or from Amazon

Wow, what a PITA…
I don’t even know anyone who uses a SIM card anymore…
So to get this working I have to purchase a SIM card, wait for a strike to be over, set it up on another phone (I have one, but will potentially train wreck my phone doing it) with it all so I can get to a smart swap screen an the Samsung?
Or am I missing something?

scanning QR code won't work
as said above, you need to borrow an active sim card from friend to setup the Samsung phone first. Then you can download the PM app and setup the eSIM that way

I can’t…
The new phone won’t let me get past connecting to a phone network .
I purchased an ESIM from PM and have a receipt but no QD code to scan came with it.
I deleted the extra eSIM i put in the old phone so now it works but in the upper left signal strength icon it now has an apostrophe over it (?)…
How do I get a QD code from PM?

this is a Samsung issue and not something PM support can help
sorry, this is a normal thing for a new Samsung device, it is something Samsung set for new device. You need an active SIM to setup the phone. And don't trust those workaround you find out YouTube. Those workarounds allow you to get around it for now, but after you put in a physical sim or eSIM for the first time, the phone will reset itself and you are back to what you are seeing now
The only way to get through this is to get a active sim card from a friend, setup the phone with Samsung and Google first (you can use your own email for Samsung and Google account). Then you can download PM app and setup the eSIM that way

@TinaStewart You need to download the public mobile app on new phone log into your account and rebuy esim on new phone . Should automatically download to your new phone and the app should recognize you as already having esim and credit it your the $ at check out . If for somereason you do get charged just messaged support for refund / credit
