Android 6.0 is outdated enough to limit app compatibility. Especially with the internet browser, it might not support (built-in or user-installed) browser which can properly interface with today's (and tomorrow's) websites.
If the phone is from circa-2017 then the battery is already 3 years old. They can last 5 years or longer - with ever-diminishing charge duration and power - but their expected useful service life is only about 2-3 years. Mobile devices are not very mobile if their weak batteries have to spend most of the day plugged into the nearest power source.
It'll work with PM (Telus) but it won't support all the network data speeds and features.

@Gramma10 if this is the phone https://www.gsmarena.com/lg_k4_(2017)-8489.php then it has the required 3g bands but not the main 4glte band. So it will work for talk , you will get data where there is a 3g connection. You will not get any emergency alerts.
If you have this phone then use it but don't go out and buy it. It's off of security updates and in technological terms an antique.
