Hi @kevinliu5d, welcome to Public Mobile.

VoIP ports are treated like landline setups, and are much longer to process than a cellular number port.  But as you’re aware, you can receive the phone calls stil on your Fongo app, and you can make calls from your cellular phone.

I see you started thread today, how long have you been waiting now?  I have seen VoIP ports take a number of days, so it’s not unexpected to take up to a week, but each case is different.

if you have been wait more than 3 business days, I would suggest sending a private message to the Moderator_team.  You will need to submit your account number for Public Mobile, your PIn, and your phone number, and any other information related to the port request.

If it’s been less than 3 business days, this is not abnormal.

When I ported Fongo number I could recieve calls through Fongo right up until the time it switched and it took just under 36 hours. Atleast there was no down time but I kept checking as I wasn't sure what the process would look like.

Porting from a VOIP to Public mobile can take on average 3 business days. I had moved a Vonage to public and took that long. It could take a bit longer depending on if their release procedures. After three days I would check the status with the carrier you are porting from.

Hi there,

When you receive a call, does it come through on your previous device? If it does, it means the port is still in progress. It can take anywhere from a minute to 24 hours. But usually it only takes a few hours at the most. Please let us know if the port hasn't finished by this evening.

Thanks,

Liam

@kevinliu5d, If, by 'change', you mean ported in, it could take several hours (probably several days) to port in a number from Fongo.  If you can still receive calls using Fongo, then the port has not completed yet.
