when I log into my public mobile profile I see my public mobile number.
but when I go into my eversafe ID I cant add my public mobile number because it says my public mobile number is already in use with another account. I dont have another account.
so I cant turn on 2fa.

Usually your own number can be used for EverSafe 2FA without issue, do you have Telus service with this phone number?
Have PM CS agent to check, they should be able to manually add it back on the system. Please open ticket with PM support:
