I recently installed the public mobile esim and authorized my previous carrier to send my phone number to public mobile.  I took my old Sim card out before I got public mobile authorization to accept my number.  Now my texting does not work.  Help!!!

so, you got the sms from your old carrier and you replied YES?

And are you receiving inbound calls? 

if inbound calls work and text is the only issue, try reboot the phone and Reset network settings first

if same, tell us if you have an iPhone or Android
