The Model A1532 is compatible based on it's specs:

(CDMA)*: CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and Rev. B (800, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1700/2100, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 13, 17, 19, 20, 25)

It is an older device.   Could it be locked to another carrier?

Also, try this trick using iTunes (or whatever Apple's current similar program is):

1. Insert new working SIM - do not turn phone on (if SIM is already in, turn off)
2. Connect to computer with USB cable.
3. Start iTunes if it doesn't auto run
4. iPhone will switch on. Wait until iTunes registers it and checks for updates
5. Install the carrier profile update (if offered)

Updates on a 5C are very unlikely...but possible.

That is an iPhone 5c. If bought in USA at an Apple Store it would be carrier unlocked. BUT if bought any where else, it will be carrier locked phone.

Check your IMEI here. It will tell you if it is unlocked and if not will likely tell you what carrier it is locked too.

If it is locked you will need to see if the carrier will unlock for you and/or verify their unlock rules.  If no go, then you need to find someone here that will unlock for you.  I have heard it can be done for $20. Some members here may be able to tell you their cost, vendor and experience.

I assume it is not cloud locked? Meaning that you know what iCloud account it is on and you have the email address and password for it. If it is cloud locked.....it's a parts only phone.

What states not compatible?  When you put the PM Sim card in the phone?

More details around your particular situation would be helpful.  Community members are customers like yourself offering advice.

Are you a new customer? Did you just activate your plan?  Did you port your number?  What have you tried so far.  Did your phone work before with another carrier?  Etc.....

@ludite ,

Will the Public Mobile SIM work in another compatible phone?

If so, then as @HALIMACS posted, the phone may be locked from its previous provider.

Contact your previous provider to unlock it for you, as no charge.

You will need your imei number, dial *#06# to get it.

@ludite ,

Did you get charged?

Does your Self Serve status say Active?

Try one or more of the below:

*turn off your phone, leave off for a minutes, then reboot

*removing your SIM for a few minutes, then reinserting it

*go into airplane mode for a few minutes, then going back to regular mode

*reboot your phone again
