Hi, I just registered with PM last night, and everything went smoothly including the number porting.
I notice after the transfer is done, my Fido account does not work anymore, as the very same phone number now is on PM sim card now instead of fido's. I am wondering is should I call fido to close my account? or the fido account is already closed?

The account is automatically closed with the losing provider once the port completes.
You don't need to do anything except enjoy better value for dollar.
