I set up one child with a public mobile phone number a few days ago, and am trying now to set up a second child with her own phone and number and plan. The AI assistant advised that I needed a different email/account to support a new phone/number, so I created a new account with a different email (but still my name on the account). I have not been able to move past selecting a plan though. Please advise.

When I set up my family phones, I set up each account on their own phone and that worked fine. It may depend on the age of your kids, but none of my family members seem to go into their app so I check it periodically.

I presume you're doing this on the PM App.
Try closing the app, then clearing the apps data and cache.
Then try again.
You might also want to try downloading the app on a different device to do the activation for the 2nd child - it's possible if you're using the same app on the same device to try to activate the 2nd account that the app is somehow associating what you're trying to do with the first account.

hi @AllisonA yes, you can have the same name and credit card but just create a new My Account using a different email address
were you using the app? in case there is problem with cache, make sure you logout completely, and then clear cache and try agian
or better, install PM app on another phone and try to activate from there
