On our Samsung S20FE the replies to a text are received before the phone shows the the question has been sent.

Clear your sms messages cache and reboot your device. Also check for any updates.

@Lin2  wow that’s creepy LOL never heard that issues before  . Have you tried rebooting the phone ?? Are you able to test the SIM card in another phone and test it ?? Can also try to reset network settings but doing this will erase your saved wifi passwords and you will need to re enter them . If still no luck you can submit ticket with support to investigate

Sounds like a phone issue. I have this phone and that does not happen to me. Maybe see if there If an update pending and update it.  Check the settings in the message app
