Hello friends,
I just renewed my plan today & want to add on texting for $8.00 more . I have the $8.00 in my account by my question is the following. Going to the add on section I see add on texting for $8.00 more but it is written beside the add on Unlimited texting ( 10 days ). So I hesitated in buying this add on because I'm not sure what the Unlimited Texting ( 10 days ) really means. Will I have texting only for 10 days ??
Can any one help out please. Thank you

My problem is the following...I just renewed my plan today ( due date 24 July 2018 ) I paid successfully the $22.00 & had $8.00 left in my account . Now I cannot switch plans, I can't even get back my $8.00 I added as an add on only because my plan doesn't allow it. I tried switching plans to the $25.00 one that includes unlimited texting by public mobile says that I do have enough money even if I renewed my plan today & after making the mistake of adding on the extra $8.00 . That's weird because if public mobile told me that my plan doesn't allow me to add on texting, why did they let me add on Unlimited texting & took my $8.00 successfully ??

@norman, the only addon texting that's $8 is the U.S. texting. So you plan on sending texts outside Canada? You'll need to change your plan completely if you want to have Canada texts. Go back to the plans page on the main site and you'll see all the text options which is unlimited international texting with all the voice plans except the $10 plan and data only plans. If you have a data only plan and you want to include texting, then you'll have to change your entire plan to a voice & data & text plan.

the only way to get additional texting is to renew your plan early which means $8 (with autopay) for 50 texts this woud also reste your voice minutes.
the other option would be to get a 1gb data addon for $30 and use texting apps like watsapp or viper etc... my mom has had the 1gb addon for over 6 months and used only about 600 mb.

Unfortunately, there is no true add on texting. The one that you were looking at is the US/internation text plan that lasts only 10 days. It is meant for people who are in the USA that need a text plan for 10 days.
Maybe we can convince PM to have a Canada text add on for people on the limited text plans.
