I spent 4 hours trying to get this iphone to download the app required to complete the set up.

Now that thats done, I entered my number from my stolen phone and it says that is not a valid Canadian number.

Public mobile setup FIRST grabs your money from your card, then screws you around.

Kudoo guy on the phone was supper helpful reporting the phone stolen and cancelling it, I should take this PM sim card and throw it away, this is the third time I have tried to use this sim card, last time it wouldn't take my bank card from BMO, it takes TD.

I drove 300 miles yesterday looking for a PCmobile sim and nobody had one in stock, got a "free" Bell sim card from BestBuy only to find out they don't do pre-paid anymore.

So sitting here with another phone for the internet and trying to activate this iphone with a PM sim card, I'm going bat **bleep** crazy at the amount of hassle it is just to set up a phone.

This used to be a 2 minute process online. Not 3 days and 60 man hours, $400 gas and fist pattern baldness from hair pulling out of frustration.

Try Reset Network Settings

The new PM number quit working right away after they were done, site says it might take up to 5 hours before the new number starts working. 

Well all the while the data was working on the phone still, but now even that isn't working any more.

I checked the settings here and there and it seems there is no location that is correct to PM. My Chase postal code appears to be declaring it a Victoria phone number. 

The locations in the setup (painfully not in alphabetical order for god knows what reason) has no listing for Chase or Kamloops, but it does have "SOUTHKAMLOOPS" so that was the city I selected. 

If this web site is any example of how PM is run than god knows they likely have my service enabled in India by now.

I should have just left the number with the last digits being the only difference. I hope it starts working by this evening.

It would be nice if there was some way, easily, to get a hold of customer service instead of a useless AI chat bot that was probably an automated Nigerian email scammer in a previous program. 

Can I get this thing checked out? I have restarted the iphone, restarted it with the sim removed and restarted again with the sim in. The only change in 5 hours is that now data is off too. It still says its connected to PublicMobile.

Thanks, I found that already and did it before reading this. 

I am only 2 digits off and Kudos is going to phone me back on Wednesday to help.

iPhones don't make this process any easier with their AppleID crap. I hope I can manage all this on the computer because my back and neck is killing me from looking at this phone for hours trying to get everything working.

You can take a new number to start… then you have a phone at least. Get Customer Support involved and see if they can find your old number to port in to Public Mobile.
