I recently received a public mobile sim in the mail and signed onto the website to set up my plan. I entered my payment details and went to activate my sim, but I got an error message saying the activation failed and to contact public mobile for assistance. My credit card has been charged. I sent an email to public mobile support but it has not been answered yet. Why did the activation fail but my card was charged??

My guess is that it was a website error or you might have accidentally entered some wrong info. You could try registering again but if it fails again you might still get charged twice. Otherwise, wait for a reply and they can reverse the charge!
