Vendors says it's not the global version but the networks bands should work in Canada?

TDD-LTE: B38 /40 /41
3G:
WCDMA: B1 /2 /4 /5 /8
2G:

Thanks
Are there plans for PB (and others) to end 3G by 2025 at which time only 3G and VoLTE will be available?
Has 3G has been discontinued in the USA too?

LTE band b4 is used in Canada the link you provided for the phone shows global bands in the high lights of the phone so it should work as for the list of phones that work with public mobile those are the ones guaranteed to work not the only ones. If you check this link you can see what carriers use band b4 https://www.frequencycheck.com/bands/lte-band-4-aws-1

hi @marti713 while the phone is VoLTE capable, PM has its own VoLTE shortlist and only those phones (and their later generations ) on the list can access PM's VoLTE
https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/volte
Bur many of us using phones that not on VOLTE shortlist and we are using 3G for voice without any problem.

It seems that it will work in Canada but I would suggest you also look the Moto (Motorola) G Play or the Samsung A03 for around the same price with warranty coverage in Canada.

Why not? Because it is not the global version?
According to amazon reviews VoLTE works:

Assuming those specifications are correct, it will work. However, I would not expect to be able to use VoLTE.
