I’m considering buying an unlocked phone from the USA. Can I simply put my PM SIM in it and have it work?

The ad the OP linked says its a new phone, so if the seller is truthful, then it should be clean. I personally would not buy a phone off of ebay. There are too many thing that can go wrong, and the recourse can be a hassle. As other people have stated, you can get a better phone for same or less money.

Um..disinfecting wipes?
And the cool kids these days use speakerphone all the time so that we can all share in their private conversations. /s
I worry about after-sale blacklisting, or something not working quite right that one might not notice on looking it over pre-buy.

@kennycrowshaw , although your question is solved, you were thinking of getting the Samsung A30 at $200 US funds. That'll be about $270, and it's eBay. I did a search with Asus phones (yes, am a big fan of them), and the phone that is similar is the Asus Zenfone 5Z. read the difference between the two, where Asus comes on top.
I looked at Amazon Canada, and I think the Asus Zenfone 5Z is for the states, but the Zonfone 5Q is Canadian? The cool thing is you won't be scammed like eBay, but, it's double the storage at 64gigs at 4Gig of RAM and it's also Dual Sims too!

I live on the boarder and have a PO Box in the US so shipping isn’t an issue. On the other hand returns can be a pain in the neck so I just want to be sure is I purchase it will work on PM

@kennycrowshaw . It will work. You may be able to get it off of Amazon.ca . And you should be able to just turn the phone off, place the SIM in and restart it. See link
Here's a link to the 64gb version of this phone on Amazon.ca for $290 cad with free shipping.

@kennycrowshaw , this phone should work fine on the Public Mobile service. The ad says may not ship to Canada though. That is a bit of a deal killer.
