Hello,
I entered a referral code into my account when I signed up for Public Mobile. How can I tell if it was successfully entered into my account?

I believe it could take 72 hours to 5 days for the credit to show

... UP TO 72 hours. I've seen it get credited after just a few hours.
In theory, you could immediately use the $10 towards purchasing add-ons or whatever. Some people are always in a rush to spend money.
In practice, you'll likely just end up paying $10 less on your next billing cycle since the ($10) funds deposited into available account balance are always used first before anything charged to credit card.

@Eleongsit You should see a $10 credit for your next bill in 3-5 days. If you have a doubl you could ask CSA to check for you. You can PM them here,
