I'm currently on the 60GB for Can/US/Mexico and had to go to the States last weekend and nothing worked - only Apple to Apple. No internet, no data and no calling/text.
Now I'm back and having problems sending texts to a bunch of people in the States as well as here at home.
Never had these problems before I left.
Did I have to do something to my phone to make it work down there? Do I need to change something on my phone to make it fully work again here?
Can someone please help?
Thanks!

Thanks for this but no one has answered me the most pressing issue being that when I text certain numbers now, that worked fine before I went to the States, they no longer work and instead receive consistent Message Send Failure errors since I've returned

Automatic is ok if it chose the good network. But if you encounter issue like what you had, Changing it to Manual and try all 3 options is always a good way to go.

It was on auto. Never encountered this problem the first time I used this plan down there and did nothing different this time. However this isn't my pressing concern. It's that I now I've returned I can no longer text people whom I could before I left. Do you know how to fix this please?

So did mine the first time I went to the States with this plan - however it absolutely did NOT this last time and I didn't do anything different.
Appreciate your experience but this isn't helping me fix my issue so if you have something else that can please let me know.
Thanks!

With the CA US MX plan you can leave “roaming” enabled all the time — my iPhone worked flawlessly in the United States and Mexico

However shouldn't there be instructions like this on how to use this plan if it's this complicated to use something that's supposed to be seamless. I was in 5 different states and it didn't work in any so goodness knows what it was trying to connect to.
Also this doesn't explain why I can't text them since I've returned when I could before I left
@JapanTrip , did you have network selection set to auto? If so, all you needed to do was enable roaming data and everything should have worked seamlessly. If you had the phone set to manually connect to a provider, then it will not auto switch to an American carrier when you are in the US. I suspect this might have been the problem. There is a help article covering US roaming troubleshooting.

Critical part to US roaming depends on T-Mobile/AT&T/Verizon coverage and whether you can connect successfully onto either network.
If the phone is not connecting to T-Mobile/AT&T/Verizon, change the Network Connection from Automatic to Manual and select and test each of the three and see which one you can connect and work best
With data issue when roaming, make sure your Roaming Mobile data is enabled and you have disabled your mobile data limiter. Also change your network mode to 4G (and don't try 5G until you can connect and service works on 4G)
