Was my Simm Card Hacked

LorettaD
Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

Today I lost the ability to send or receive phone calls. My APN info was blank and I had to manually ad the Public Mobile info in. The phone works again but it still troubles me. The last 4 digits listed on my public mobile account doesnt match the last 4 digits in my IMEI section on my phone. Am I looking in the right spot or should I pull my Simm Card and read the number off of it. It is also only 18 digits long compared to the 20 digits I believe it should be. Can anyone help me or at least ease my mind that I havent been hacked.

@LorettaD

All of public mobiles sim card numbers start with 89122 and contain 19 digits.

@LorettaD if you recently did a software update on your device, this could of caused your apn to reset.

double check all your apps and make sure there aren't any rogue apps that you haven't installed. if you don't recognize any app uninstall it.

@LorettaD  From your description you do not have to worry about being sim jacked.

If you were you would not be able to use your existing number.

The last 4 digits should match the last 4 digits on your sim card.

My guess is that they do match otherwise your sim card would not work with your number.

First off, APN settings have nothing to do wtih phone calls. Also, your sim card being "hacked" wouldnt' clear your APN settings. When it comes to IMEI, that isn't listed in your self serve account. More likely, you've experienced a temporary issue with your services, especially if everything has started working again.
