Waived SIM card fee rejected at Telus store

I'm contemplating moving from Koodo to Public Mobile, to the $29 40 GB plan currently offered. The website indicates the $10 SIM card fee is waived if collected from a Telus or Koodo store but when I checked with a Telus store at Hillside Mall, Victoria, I was told they  "are required to charge for the Public Mobile  SIM card" Which is correct?

HI @ltdbc

the $10 discount only applies for sim card delivery by mail.  And yes, sim delivery could be long, like 3 days to 3 weeks.

If they charge you for it at the store, simply ask the customer support agents after activation and they will undoubtedly waive the fee by applying a credit to your account.

To contact a Customer Support Agent, there are 2 methods:

  1. Use the ticketing system for a faster response time. Click here to create a support ticket, then type Customer Support Agent, then Contact Us,  or
  2. Send a private message to Customer Support Agent by clicking here.  You’ll need to be logged into your Community account for the link to work.

Watch for their response in your Community private mailbox which will be indicated by a number on the small envelope icon to the left of your Community avatar.
