I would like to reduce my rings to four for voicemail to answer my phone.  Currently it takes 8 to 9 rings before voicemail answers, and for that reason no one is patient enough to wait that long.

hi @Ralph77

of course they have support staff

You just need to  submit a ticket with CS Agent using Chatbot here:
            https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html
Type the question "Submit ticket", Then click the following in order: "Contact Us" ,  "Other",  "Log In".
(If unable to receive 2FA SMS, click "Didn't Receive Code" or "Resend Code" and Select "Send Email")
If any issue with ticket submission, you can submit  ticket by direct message:

I have tried the code several times and it does not work, and I can't seem to find a way to speak with Public Mobile support staff  and not even sure if there is a support staff.  May have to change providers to resolve my isdue.

hi @Ralph77

this is an way we have been passing around, but this might not work anymore as lately someone said the conditional forwarding is no longer working

try this on the dialpad
*61*16475804001*11*20#, then click send

this will let it ring 20 seconds (4 rings) before going to voicemail

(you can change that *20# to *5# for 5 seconds, or change to *10# for 10 sec)

@Ralph77

The number of rings is determined by the 'number of seconds to wait' before forwarding the call to your voicemail. Get your PM voicemail number from your Phone Dialer settings.

Dial this sequence: *61 *16475804001*11 *[then enter number of seconds to wait] # [SEND or CALL].

For the number of seconds to wait - choose from the following options:

  • one ring, enter 5.
  • two rings, enter 10.
  • three rings, enter 15.
  • four rings, enter 20.
  • five rings, enter 25.
  • six rings, enter 30 (This is the maximum number of rings/seconds).

SAMPLE: *61*16475804001*11*20# [SEND or CALL] - sets your phone to ring four times (20 seconds) before going to your voicemail. Best to check mailbox.
( also technically, dialing *61*16475804001*11*20# can be shortened to *61*16475804001**20# since voice service is assumed)
