Voicemail issues

Hi, I'm a new Public user. 

I have problems setting up my voicemail. After the prompt ask me about "a voicemail number" I add my 10 digits phone number and the voice say that the voicemail is incorrect. I try several times from different phones and the answer is always that same.

Any idea how to fix this issue? Thanks.

You have to use your phone with PM SIM for initial voice mail setup. Do not use vmail number from other phone for initial vmail setup.

If you are on $15 Plan, it will use your minutes. I set up my vmail a day before renewal 🙂 as minutes get refreshed next day.

Are you able to make calls, accept calls, text in both directions, browse internet not on wifi? Can you login to your account? If so try the reset voicemail password which will set it to your 10 digit phone number.

Hi @choalberto   I think the VM wasn't setup properly on the system.  Please open ticket with CS Agent.

Yes, I already tried pressing 1 and the answer is invalid voicemail.

Using this number 1-778-580-4001 give me the sam problem, the answer is invalid voicemail.

Are you referring to the VM PIN?

HI @choalberto  did you try to access the voicemail by pressing 1 on your phone?

If you still unable to setup voicemail, check with CS Agent:

 

at : https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot. Follow this to get to ticket open screen quicker:

  1. start by typing : Contact CS Agent
  2. then Click "Contact Us"
  3. then Click "Other"
  4. finally Click "Click here to submit a ticket"
    you will then direct to another page to open ticket.

After ticket is submitted, make sure to check your Community Inbox(top right corner envelope icon) periodically for response from PM's CS Agent

 

If you have problems submitting a ticket, you can also send a private message to the CS Agent (but this can take longer):

Do you call your number to get to voicemail or do you call a voicemail access number?

Try dialing 1-778-580-4001. It shouldn't ask for anything unless you set up the password request for accessing while on the device.
