Voice mail while in US

I am in the US on travel and my plan does not include the US.  How do I check my voice messages?

The above isn't correct information.  Telus voicemail system don't use # for that. # won't work.

To directly answer your question. 

From a land line or another cell phone that works in the USA. 

How To Access Your Voicemail From Another Phone

1. Call your phone number
2. When you hear your voicemail greeting, press the star key (*) to interrupt it
3. Enter your voicemail password when prompted
4. Follow the voice prompts to listen to your messages
