Hello!
I have a quick question: how to disable the notifications (SMSs sent by the device) for Visual Voice Mail on an iPhone?

As best I can tell, this is a misconfiguration on Public/Telus's part. The carrier settings information they provide to iOS devices is giving them information for Visual Voicemail config, but there is no infrastructure setup to respond. So the devices endlessly query trying to get a response from non-existent servers.

But do you get notifications for any and all SMS messages you send out? I don't mean just these. If you do and that's a feature you like then it would seem that they should eventually stop. If you're very unlikely still on the old $13 plan then you should be able to get those retracted from your text count. If it's a feature you don't like then there should be setting to turn off sent SMS notifications. I'll leave that to Apple folks.

you just ported your number into PM/
Those texts are iOS sending updates to 474663 to try to register FaceTime or iMessage connection with the new number.

You should be able to disable those notifications from the settings in your iPhone.
Go to the notification settings and either turn them off or set them to silent.

I hope you don't have to go through that
Another thing is is your iOS up to date? There is another post about once the iOS is updated, the text gone away
