Using Canada-US-Mexico plans

Here's a newbie question on using the Canada-US-Mexico plans.  Should roaming be turned on or off upon arrival in the US or Mexico?

Data roaming will need to be turned on to use your data in the US or Mexico. You can even turn it in on beforehand if you want.

For calls in the US you'll need to have VoLTE enabled on a supported device.

@Salsa  Data roaming should be turned on or data won't work.  You can actually leave it on all the time since Public Mobile is prepaid so there won't be any extra charges, you only get what you paid for up front.
