Using All Data

Hi All,

I am wondering if you can go over your data limit and be charged for it. Say I leave my data on my phone on 24/7 and coming close to the end bill date, it reaches its limit of 6gb. Will it just stop once i reach the limit or continue going and I be charged extra. I know VM does this and it is very annoying.

Thanks all for the help. I enjoy the pleasure of not worrying about paying over usage.

If you want a "cushion" consider buying the data add-on. It never expires until completely used even if many months. Plus it is only utilized when your main plan has used all its data allowance. I do this and have had it in place for over a year; it still has 800 MB left.

@JTDU official company line is you can not go over data. In reality you kind of can (very restricted)

But you will never pay extra

Public Mobile is a pre-paid service. So, no. You won't get charge because the moment you used all of your data it will stop working. Either you get the data add-on, wait when will your plan renew or change the plan "now".

Hi @JTDU;

PM does not do overages, so if you use up all your data in a plan period it will just stop, until the next plan period or you buy a data add on.. You will get warning texts from PM as you get close to the limit, (85% and 95% IIRC, not sure if any others).

No, you will NEVER be charged overages here, it's a prepaid service. Data will just stop working. Hope that helps.
