I cannot make calls

It looks like  volte is my problem

what phone do you have?  But your mobile data works?

please note due to the end of 3G in US , some phone might not receive and make calls in US.   Only phones VoLTE whitelist can recieve calls on the LTE network.  Use the IMEI checker to check if your phone is on the list here:

if it shows Incompatible, or a X besides VoLTE, your phone is not on the VoLTE whitelist.  Therefore, you won't be able to use voice services in US.  A workaround is to download VoIP app TextNow and then use the app to make and receive calls

And if you phone is not on the VoLTE whitelist, you need to get a new phone before March 2027.  PM will ends 3G services in Canada in March 2027, you will have the same voice issue when 3G ends.  You need a phone that is on PM's VoLTE before the end of 3G so you can continue receive voice calls

I have us minutes and date and roaming.  The calls will not go out and I cannot receive

More details would be helpful.  Do you have a US roaming plan?  Did you purchase a 10 day roaming add on?  Is text working?  Data?

One potential problem is if your phone is not VoLTE compatible with Public mobile.  Then you will have talk issues while roaming in USA since 3G network decommissioned in the United states.
