Unable to Transfer Number

Apparently something that is required by law (CRTC https://crtc.gc.ca/eng/phone/mobile/num.htm) is being disregarded by Public Mobile. After a week of back and forth emails and several calls to try and get my old number ported to my new SIM, I've just been notified that it was never a possibility in the first place, because my area code is not within their "carrier pool." Not sure if this is completely legal. Either way, I'm getting a refund and I suggest you do too if you're having this problem. Don't waste your time.

@Ajax23 while most numbers can be ported around, some numbers have to stay with selected providers due to technical limitation.  This porting limitation is not an issue only to PM, but for other providers have the same, too

You can share your area code and next 3 digits and we can confirm why it cannot be ported
