Unable to Send Text Messages to Job Application Services (Amazon, Walmart, Wayfair)

Vibhuti1

I’m experiencing an issue with my Public Mobile number where I am unable to send text messages, especially to short codes or business numbers related to job applications (such as Amazon, Walmart, and Wayfair). Each time I try to send a message, it fails to deliver.

This issue is impacting my ability to communicate with potential employers and is quite urgent. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter as soon as possible.

Steps Already Taken: restarted phone, reset network settings, etc..

Please let me know if there are any settings I need to adjust or if there’s an issue on your end that needs to be fixed.

Thank you for your help.

I’m having a similar problem.  I’m not receiving confirmation texts from Amazon.  And it’s not because I’m a new user or recently porting, etc.  I’m not.  And I do get texts from others, just not Amazon, at the moment.  Amazon says they get this problem a lot and it’s the fault of the cellular provider.  Public Mobile are no help whatsoever.

@Vibhuti1 do you not able to send or not able to receive short code SMS?

First, do you receive any incoming calls and regular SMS (P2P) from friends?  If so, it is good, at least the porting was completed successfully

For 2FA text or other system generated text (A2P), it is normal for them to start coming later.   Systems take longer to find out you changed provider and to route the text correctly to the new provider (Public Mobile).    Also, financial institutions (banks) or government agencies (e.g, CRA)  put this delay on purpose too to avoid SIM Fraud

Usually they will start coming around the 3rd day after porting but it could take as many as 7 days for all the 2FA/A2P text to come.
