I am on the 20Gb, 4G, Can/US plan. Now in the US and unable to connect to the internet. I selected network operator manually (T-mobile). I am able to make calls and text. It seems it connects to the network on 2G only. Network mode is set to LTE/3G/2G. I use a Samsung Galaxy A50 (model SM-A505F/DS). How can I connect to he 4G network.

Hi @hTideGnow
My phone cannot do 5G, so might be time for an upgrade. T-mobile and Verizon are the only network operators to choose from when I search manually.

hi @Zakattack
for me, i can use all 3 networks without problem. But most seem to find it is easier to connect to T-Mobile and AT&T
when you try Verizon, maybe try 5G as well
and those available network, do you see any starts with 31 ? if so, what you have?

If I select Verizon, it connects to the 4g momentarily, but then drops off. Checking coverage maps, Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T should have ample 4g coverage for the area I'm in. Scanning for network operators, I don't even see AT&T.
Maybe my phone is too old, but it seems I have all the settings correct and data roaming is just not very reliable for where I am.
Thanks for the help

hi @Zakattack
yes, number 4 is what you need, then try the 3 different networks
but for voice calls, you might have to change back to 1. 2G only and select T-Mobile only

@hTideGnow , I cannot select 4g or LTE only on as network mode. Only options on the Galaxy A50 are:
I have selected number 4 at this time

hi @Zakattack
Galaxy A60 is not VoLTE compatible with PM network, so using T-Mobile 2G is the only way to make calls
but if you want to use data, change the network back to 4G or LTE and use either T-Mobile or AT&T or Verizon and it should work without problem. Please try

@Zakattack LTE is 4G same thing but you have to make sure you have data roaming turned on in phone settings
